When writing job experience on a resume, it can be tempting to add in as much information as possible, but it may be more beneficial to keep a resume concise. Here are 3 things that can help:

  1. Action Oriented Points – Starting each point with a strong action verb (example: "Implemented," "Created," "Developed") to have a strong start and explain your contributions clearly.

  2. Quantify Performance – When possible, include statistics, percentages, or even results to show the impact of the work (example: "Increased inquiries by 70% in six months" or "Managed a certain team of a large company").

  3. Adjust to the Job – Highlight experience and skillsets that align with the job being applied for by reviewing keywords and expectations from the job posting or job description.

Preparing a well written resume can help recruiters understand experience and skillset. Whether it's by articulation of performance, adjusting to the expectations of the hiring company, or adding in better and more relevant points.
